This Architecture-themed build of the Taj Mahal immediately caught our eyes when we first saw it, for the fact that, even though the build may look simple, but it captures the essence of the real Taj Mahal building in India.
This build by the team of Lukas and Jan (both of them cousins and AFOLs) is built to the scale of 1:650.
Even though there’s already a Taj Mahal set available in the past, but the set has already been retired. And since the introduction of the Architecture theme by LEGO in 2008, there hasn’t been a remake of this building, so Lukas and Jan decided to take up the challenge and create one themselves. They have since submitted the build to the LEGO Ideas website with hope that it’ll be able to get the support required (so if you like this build, make sure you vote for it in the LEGO Ideas website!) and eventually approved by the LEGO Ideas review team to be produced as an official LEGO Ideas set.
In our opinion, this build makes an excellent addition to your display cabinet together with all your other LEGO Architecture sets. Especially if you’re an avid collector of Architecture-themed LEGO sets, we’re perfectly sure you’d love to add this Taj Mahal model to your collection!
