This authentic camper van is a replica of the classic Volkswagen Camper Van from 1962. Every iconic feature is here!
On the outside, the terrific detailing includes ‘V’ shape three-way color split at the front, rounded roof and window frames, opening ‘splittie’ safari windshield, opening doors, iconic pop-up roof with textile curtain surround, roof rack, rear side air intake vents and lots more!
The detailing is equally impressive on the inside, from the authentic VW air-cooled flat four cylinder ‘boxer’ engine, front cabin bench seat, gear stick, angled dashboard and iconic spherical speedometer, to custom LEGO features like folding rear bench seat, folding dinette table, closet with mirror and even a painting!

Super cool car and fun build. – By Chris on February 17, 2016
Such a cool model, and a good size. It is the car I wanted to get when I was younger, but they were so few even back then it was hard to find. Now though with the model I can get some of the enjoyment out of having a piece of it. As a very experienced Lego builder, ya know, old guy, it was easy and fun but I am sure a 10 year old would have done as good a job as I did.
Love it, great build, super cool.
Cool and Groovy Therapy In A Box. – By George Evans on February 13, 2016
I continue to be amazed by the amazing engineering that goes into turning small little brics into a 4 pound object de art. Incredibly detailed, fun, amazingly designed, super fun and funky. Did have one missing piece – a black 1 x 2 that goes on the front passenger door – but I scarfed one from my Millennium Falcon (next build) and just received replacements (free and quickly) from LEGO who are great about this stuff. Built over four sessions (give or take)…maybe 16 hours? Detailed engine. Folding table and bench seats. Kitchen/sink. Closet with mirror. Hippie art. Therapy in a box. Makes the cares of the world go away and finishing it…there’s still something amazing about finishing your LEGO. Millennium Falcon is next…followed by the dreaded Tower Bridge and Sydney Opera House. I’ve pretty much got my next year plotted out. Thank you LEGO. Miracle in a box…and cheaper than going to the shrink.
Nothing better than a Red VW MicroBus unless Officer Obie is around, too [great idea for a mini figure] – By Tracy T. Kornfeld on January 26, 2016
Brought back tons of memories of riding around in my friends brothers VW Microbus – along with the 50th anniversary of Arlo Guthrie’s encounter with his VW Microbus. This is a car of my past and how I miss them. It was a fun build and I’m proud to display it. The fact that you can see the engine and the interiors are even better. Lego is not JUST for kids. We big kids have fun, too!!!
Best gift ever! – By Shelley on October 28, 2015
My daughter was thrilled with this gift. She has a love for the VW van and this was the best gift ever and she and her boyfriend enjoyed putting it together.

This one is a very nice Lego Camper Van… it has a lot of details inside of it and is worth the money. I’m happy with it.
