Along with releasing official box and product images of the new LEGO Ideas Women of NASA (21312) set, LEGO have also announced that they will be releasing this set on November 1st.
This set is the work of art of AFOL Maia Weinstock (aka 20tauri) from the United States – who submitted her build to the LEGO Ideas website which subsequently acquired 10,000 support votes and later on had her building approved by the LEGO Ideas review team to be produced as an official LEGO Ideas set – you can check out her submission on the LEGO Ideas website here.
This set will be retailing at $24.99 (for those of you who are looking for sets under $50, there you have it!). It consists of a total of 231 LEGO pieces and you’ll find 4 minifigures: Nancy Grace Roman – an astronomer who helped develop the Hubble Space Telescope, Margaret Hamilton – a computer scientist who led development of onboard flight software for Apollo missions, Sally Ride – the first American woman in space, and Mae Jamison – the first African-American woman in space.
