LEGO Picks of the Month: June 2017
Today marks the end of the first half of 2017. We certainly hope you’ve had an awesome year so far (we had a wonderful one sourcing contents and presenting them to you on our Facebook page, as well as on our website.)
Speaking of great content, this month, we celebrate yet another record breaking feat by LEGO with the LEGO-made wind turbine, which was made using 146,251 LEGO pieces, and this build took a team of LEGO experts around 600 hours to complete (read more here.) This project was started (and completed) to celebrate the fact that LEGO now balances 100% of its energy use with energy from renewable sources (HOORAY!)
Taking a look at some of the most impressive builds by AFOLs this month, we’ve featured a build of the LEGO store in a restored old building, a LEGO model of the NASA Crawler-Transporter (some of our community members suggested placing the LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V 21309 set on top), a build of the rockband KISS performing on-stage, a build of a LEGO recording studio (for your LEGO minifigs who are audiophiles).
Check out all these and more in this month’s LEGO Picks of the Month below:
