LEGO Picks of the Month: October 2016

LEGO Picks of the Month is a monthly online publication by The Bricks Hub, where we feature builds by AFOLs, along with other interesting news in the world of LEGO we have shared on our Facebook page through the month.

LEGO Picks of the Month: October 2016

Taking a look at some of the custom LEGO creations which AFOLs have submitted to the LEGO Ideas website, we have a Elvis concert show (with him arriving in his pink Cadillac), a barrier reef set, an “Ultimate Collector’s” Batmobile which measures 18-inches in length and built using 1,664 LEGO pieces, LEGO built E.T., as well as the iconic Seige of Minas Tirith from the Lord of the Rings.

Some of the interesting news in the world of LEGO include a response by the LEGO customer service team to a boy who has written in after he has lost a LEGO action figure really warms our hearts (it’s one of the many reasons why we love LEGO so very much!), how a Boise man’s love for creating stop-motion LEGO sports videos earned him a contract by an American regional sports network to do what he loves – to produce 10 mini-movies using LEGOs, an AFOL John V. Muntean’s shadow art using LEGO – what’s amazing is that, these intricate shadow designs change as each mass of LEGO bricks is turned (simply magnificent!). Also, you’ll find a life-sized LEGO 1964 Mustang built from LEGO and Duplo blocks.

Last but not least, we have also produced an online publication for Star Wars fanatics – titled “Your Ultimate Guide To LEGO Star Wars Minifigures“, where you’ll find over 300 Star Wars characters (in LEGO minifigures) you can add to your collection.

Check out all these and more below…
