If you’re into builds of NASA – mainly the recently released LEGO Ideas Apollo Saturn V (21309), as well as looking forward to the upcoming release of the Women of NASA build, then we’re sure you’d be interested with the LEGO rendition of yet another NASA build – the Crawler-Transporter.
For those of you who are not familiar with the NASA Crawler-Transporter, they were originally used to transport the Saturn IB and the Saturn V rockets during the Apollo, Skylab and Apollo-Soyuz programs. Later on, they were used to transport Space Shuttles from 1981 to 2011. It has since been added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 21, 2000. If you’re interested, you can read more about the Crawler-Transporter here.
This LEGO rendition of the Crawler-Transporter by Eiffleman was constructed from 1,500 LEGO pieces, and it’s built according to the scale of 1:110 – it is the same scale as the Apollo Saturn V set.
