While LEGO have produced dozens of zoo-related sets since 2006, they were under the Duplo series. This led to LEGO enthusiast MattedBricks creating an attractive-looking zoo using regular LEGO pieces.
According to MattedBricks, this build uses approximately 2,200 LEGO pieces, with it’s height (about 15″) on par with the LEGO Creator Grand Emporium (10211) set – so if this set is approved by the LEGO Ideas review team and made into an official LEGO Ideas set, you can place it along with some of the LEGO Creator modular buildings you already have (which looks really great!)
Additionally, the habitats-based exhibits are packed with iconic features to capture the spirit of the animals’ environments – check out the images (33 in total) of this build below and see if you can spot them all:

Here’s are 2 videos which MattedBricks posted where you can get a close-up look at this modular zoo:
All in all, we are attracted by the design’s simplicity, yet at the same time it’s packed full of features you’ll find in a zoo. This modular zoo is, in our opinion, a must have if you are an animal lover and love visiting the zoo.
What about you? Do you share the same thoughts as us as well? 🙂
